The Agricultural Information Network Centre: Kasetsart University Library, has been appointed by the Board of Directors and National Academic Information Coordination to be in charge of the Agricultural Information Network Centre since December 1986 so as to jointly manage the Centre together with the Subcommittee appointed by other agricultural agencies in the country to provide the information system according to the policy and scope of the Centre.

Thai National AGRIS Centre is responsible for collecting and providing Thai Agricultural information services and a member of the Cooperation Network of the International Information System for the Agricultural Science and Technology (AGRIS), which comprises more than 240 centres worldwide. It cooperates in providing information services and exchange so that Thai agricultural information can be cited and utilized in international research and those in Thai agricultural field can utilize agricultural information from worldwide. 

International Buffalo Information Center (IBIC) was founded in November 1981 with the support of the International Development Research Center (IDRC) of Canada and the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations. Currently, the Centre is operated by the KU Library, providing buffalo-related information services in various forms such as Buffalo Bulletin, the quarterly e-journal, international buffalo database, Thai buffalo database, photocopying of Thai and international buffalo-related documents, reference and information service, collecting bibliography, and buffalo information search.

Kasetsart University Agriculture Knowledge Centre (AGKC) is the KU Library’s new service developed with the objective of commemorating the Sixtieth Anniversary Celebrations of His Majesty’s Accession to the throne. AGKC is the service centre providing information in agriculture and related fields by extending the agricultural information service from the knowledge base that the KU Library has developed and accumulated for a long time under Thai National AGRIS Centre and International Buffalo Information Centre. This is done through national and international cooperation networks under the Agricultural Information Network Centre and the AGRIS Network Centre of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations. Besides, the KU Library has used the knowledge management concept together with the application of the information technology to increase the competency in administration and provision of agricultural information service to support learning, teaching, researching, and academic services to the public.
