The Library allows the check out of Internet accessible laptops. Laptop will be available for check out at the Laptop Loan service desk located on the first floor of KULC building. Currently KU Graduate / Undergraduate students and lecturer who are in good standing are eligible. They must have a valid KU student ID Card with no outstanding library fines or charges. Laptops can be checked out at the Laptop Loan service desk upon presenting your KU student ID Card and signing the Laptop Computer Loan Agreement.

  

Step to borrowing Laptop

  1. Go to the Laptop Loan service desk located on the first floor of KULC building.
  2. Bring your staff / student ID card.
  3. Complete and sign a form (Laptop Computer Loan Agreement).

 Loan rule

  1. KU Library Laptop Loan Service for education only.
  2. Laptop Loan Service open Monday – Friday 8.30 am - 4.30 pm.
  3. Only one laptop per person may be checked out at one time.
  4. Borrowers must read and sign the Laptop Loan Agreement before 
    checking out a laptop.

  1.  Who can borrow a laptop?
    Currently registered KU Graduate / Undergraduate students and lecturer who are in good standing are eligible to borrow a laptop.
  2. How do I check out a laptop? 
    You must present your Student ID Card and sign a Laptop Computer Loan Agreement and Use Policy.
  3.  Where can I check out a laptop?
    Laptops are available at the Laptop Loan service desk located on the 1st floor, KULC building.
  4. How long can I have the laptop?
    Laptops may be checked out for a maximum of 3 hours. They must be returned 10 minutes before the due time.
  5. Can I reserve a laptop?
    No, Laptops cannot be reserved. They are available on a first come first served basis.
  6. Can someone help me use the laptop?
    The Library only assist with technical difficulties. They do not provide instructions.
  7. Can I take the laptop outside the library?
    No, laptops are for use in the library only. And you are responsible for returning the laptop before the due time. Any laptops taken out of Kasetsart University Library will be considered as stolen property and police will be notified.
  8.  What if the laptop is damaged or stolen while I have it checked out?
    You are fully responsible for the laptop while it is checked out under your name. You will be charged for any repair or replacement costs. Hence, please do not leave the laptop unattended at any time!
  9. Can I load my own programs on to the laptop?
    No, personal programs may not be loaded on to the laptop.
  10.  Where do I save my own files? 
    Personal files should be saved on a USB flash drive.
  11. Can I print using the laptop? 
    No, you are not allow to do so.
  12. Can I take the laptop out of the library?
    No, laptops are for use within the library only.
