Quality Awards for Public Services for the year 2011

Consolation Prize for the Work Procedure entitled "Learning about Agriculture through e-books" from the Quality Awards for Public Services for the Year 2011.

    The KU Library received a Consolation Prize in the Work Procedure Category of the Quality Awards for Public Services for the Year 2011 from the Office of the Public Sector Development Commission (OPDC) through the Work entitled “Learning about Agriculture through e-books”. This is the work that the KU Library, as the Agricultural Information Network Centre, has joined with the Kasetsart University Press and collaborative agencies under the Thai Agricultural Information Network, including the agencies and the persons who own those books and have agreed to publicize their works, to conduct the Agricultural e-Books Development Project to commemorate His Majesty the King’s wisdom in Agriculture and the Philosophy of Efficiency Economy.The contents of the books are about the agricultural development, the rural development, and the research on agriculture according to His Majesty the King’s concept, work standard and the application of the Philosophy of Efficiency Economy in the agriculture sector, including general agricultural books, aiming to be the knowledge center and to conserve the knowledge for the country’s benefits in agriculture development. The e-Books is serviced through the internet service at the website The Office of the Public Sector Development Commission (OPDC) has organized the Awards Ceremony on December 21, 2011 at the Chao Praya Room, the Royal Thai Navy Auditorium, with His Excellency Mr. Yongyuth Wichaidit, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior being the Chairman awarding the Prizes to the recipients. On this occasion, Dr. Damrong Sripraram, Vice President for Academic Services and Dr. Aree Thunkijjanukij, Director, Office of the University Library, Kasetsart University were awarded the said prize.
